Welcome to JW Intimates! My name is Jamal, and this is my little boutique photography studio that specializes in luxury boudoir and intimate portrait sessions. We are based in Detroit MI but are ready to come to you wherever you are. I’m focused on delivering a highly personalized, empowering experience to my clients. But what is Boudoir & Intimate Portraits?
“Boudoir,” is a French term that originally referred to a woman’s private dressing rooms. The tradition of boudoir photography has been around since the advent of cameras. It’s rooted in the idea of offering the viewer a glimpse into typically private moments and spaces.
In contemporary times, the term “boudoir” has taken on a lot of baggage. Many envision a blend of sultry glamour shots and a Victoria’s Secret catalog. You many think, boudoir is reserved for young models decked out in exquisite lingerie, with flawless hair and glamorous makeup.
You can forget all that! I help women just like you showcase the most powerful, confident version of themselves.
